Planned Giving
Your planned gift to Forward Journey will have a lasting impact on our agency. And what a legacy to leave! You’ll ensure a safe place of acceptance and inclusion for those most affected by their disabilities.
Consider legacy gift options
You can help us preserve our programming by including Forward Journey as a planned giving option now or as part of your estate. Here are some options to consider:
- Direct Gifts & Bequests – This is a gift of cash, property, or other assets to Forward Journey right from your estate.
- Charitable Gift Annuities – Forward Journey would receive money, securities, or real estate in return for a defined payment throughout your lifetime. This is a good option if you want to donate substantial assets, minimize taxes, and retain consistent income flow.
- Charitable Lead Trust – This occurs when you contribute the assets of a trust to Forward Journey for a defined period of time.
- Charitable Remainder Trust – In this scenario, the remainder of a trust is donated to Forward Journey after you receive the assets for a specified period or the rest of your life.
We recommend speaking to your estate planner, financial advisor, or accounting professional to advise you on the tax benefits, financial considerations, and savings associated with making a planned gift to Forward Journey.
Communicate your plans
Have you already included us in your estate plans? Please let us know. By doing so, we’ll ensure your gift is utilized as you intended. It also helps us plan for the future. Any information you share is confidential and we respect any desire to remain anonymous. Please note: This does not constitute a legal promise of any future donation to our organization. We understand that bequests are revocable and that your estate plans could change.
