Cynthia(Cindy) Jenkins

President of the Board of Directors

Cindy spent 39 of her 45 years in employment as an Information Technology (IT) professional. She began her career as a secretary at the DuPont Company before transitioning to the IT field. Her time at DuPont concluded 20 years after she was outsourced to Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in 1997. For several years, she continued to manage the DuPont account while also working on a government project and a project for a mid-sized company. Cindy retired from CSC in 2010.

After her retirement, Cindy led the partnership in launching a fast-casual chain restaurant in Millsboro, DE. The start-up involved ordering and receiving all the necessary equipment, as well as establishing payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. She managed the business for over five years before selling it, and then took charge of shutting it down in 2016.

Cindy has three children, the oldest of whom, a son, has multiple severe disabilities.  Cindy was on the Board of C.E.R.T.S., Inc. from 2004 to 2012. During her tenure on the Board, the AAC was launched, and she held the positions of Vice President and Treasurer. She has been on the fundraising committee both during her time on the Board and after rolling off. She organized the annual “Run for Their Future” 5K run/walk for five years and played a key role in the pig roast events that were held several times.

Blerta Profiri

Vice President of the Board of Directors

Blerta Profiri has over 20 years of banking experience, with a focus on Risk Management.  She is a Managing Director at JP Morgan Chase in the Consumer and Community Banking Risk Management organization. Before Chase, she held senior risk management roles at TD Bank, Wells Fargo, and MBNA, overseeing credit risk, loss forecasting, and portfolio management across consumer lending products. Blerta holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Tirana and an MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas. She is passionate about leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and community engagement.

Blerta lives in Kennett Square, PA, with her husband and two sons.

William(Bill) Hudson, CPA

Treasurer of the Board of Directors

Bill Hudson retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 2025 after 37 years.  He earned his bachelor’s degree from Delaware State University in 1988 and earned his Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1993.  Bill served on the board from 2015-2020 and held the positions of Treasurer and President.  He returned to the board in 2022 and currently serves as Treasurer.

Bill is married to Susan Hudson, and they have three children.  Their son, Max, has a significant disability and receives services through the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services and Chimes.  They reside in north Wilmington.

Amy Haughey

Secretary of the Board Directors

Amy was raised in the Western Pennsylvania area and graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Individual and Family Services. She completed graduate work at both Wilmington University and the University of Delaware.

Prior to moving to Delaware in 1993, she spent 20 years working with youth and families in various settings, including residential treatment, partial hospitalization/alternative education settings, and home-based family therapy, with an emphasis on preventing out-of-home placement for youth. In Delaware, Amy served as the Assistant Director of the Edgemoor Community Center in North Wilmington and worked for the Colonial School District, running alternative middle and high school programs. Prior to retiring in July of 2024, Amy spent 21 years working in the Smyrna School District as a Special Education teacher, with the last 10 years as Transition Coordinator for the Smyrna School District as well as serving as the 504 Compliance Officer for Smyrna High School.  Amy has been a long-time member of the Delaware Community of Practice in Transition cadre and has had the pleasure of serving in various Executive positions on the Board of Directors for Forward Journey, an agency that serves adults with multiple developmental challenges.

Jessica Jordan, MSM

Board Member

Jessica serves as Director of Lean Innovation for The Carlin Collaborative, challenging systems and “knowns” to create value on the part of the consumer, client and company. Through her passion for purpose, she also volunteers discretionary effort, facilitating initiatives and improvements with various nonprofit organizations.

Committed to providing support today for the leaders of tomorrow, Jessica serves on the Board of the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay as well as serving on the Board of Directors for C.E.R.T.S., helping to lend a hand in supporting those who enrich the lives of adults with multiple, severe disabilities and their families through an active, personalized day program.

Jessica earned a Bachelor of Arts from DeSales University and a Masters in Science Management through Wilmington University.

Currently, she is a Fellow with Leadership Delaware’s 2022 cohort and is excited to find continued ways of using her voice to “enhance the lives of Delawareans across the state.”

Michael Guida

Board Member

Mike Guida earned his B.S. degree from the University of Delaware, with a concentration in operations management.  His work experience focused on the fields of chemical analysis and life sciences. Mike spent his entire career at Hewlett-Packard / Agilent Technologies, where he served as a senior manager responsible for supply chain management and instrument manufacturing.

Mike has a daughter, a son, and two grandchildren. Since retiring, Mike has moved to the Delaware beach area with his wife, Debbie, and their son, Kevin. Kevin has multiple disabilities and lives in a nearby group home.  In his spare time, Mike volunteers at Code Purple in Lewes and enjoys biking and kayaking.

David Sisson

Board Member

David Sisson served in the U.S. Army for 13 years in combat arms. He graduated from Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1997. He is the owner of Floor Coverings International of Middletown.  He has been involved in real estate investing since 2013.

David is married to Traci Sisson and they have three children. They both enjoy exercise and hiking. Their youngest child, Abby, is impacted by Autism. They live in Townsend, DE.

Why do I want to serve:

I realize that I am very lucky with my station in life and feel an obligation to give back and help those that are less fortunate. Being the parent of a child with autism I am aware that though my daughter is fairly easy to manage, there are many people whose lives are made very difficult by their limitations and special needs. Anything that I can do to help lessen the burden on someone else is worth doing and I would like to contribute some of my time in that direction.

ERIKA GRIMES

Board Member

Erika Grimes is an accomplished certified Project Manager with over ten years of experience in successfully delivering projects.  Erika earned her master’s degree in Management and Management Information Systems from Wilmington University in 2020. She joined the ranks at Barclays Bank in July 2022 as an Operations Analyst for the Customer Remediation Team.  Before joining Barclays, she worked at AAA Club Alliance for 14 years, where she held various roles, including Project and Program Manager.   Erika resides in Delaware and has four adult children and four grandchildren.

Abimbola (Bimmy) Olowo

Board Member

I am a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician who has had the privilege of practicing medicine for over 16 years. My experience stems from the hospital to the outpatient setting. I am currently working in the Nursing Home and Rehabilitation sector. I have had the opportunity to hold various leadership positions, including peer leadership, mentoring younger physicians, and healthcare quality and service roles at different healthcare facilities in the Northeastern United States.

I am married and have three children, and I live in New Castle, Delaware.  I enjoy traveling, cooking, watching interesting movies, and learning new things. It has been a valuable experience to have lived on three different continents and to appreciate the diverse kinds of human kindness.

I hope to give back to my local community in all ways possible.
